Bring Your Own garments

Customer-Supplied Garment Printing in Las Vegas

At Customistic, we are one of the few Las Vegas print shops willing to customize garments supplied by our customers. You are welcome to bring us shirts, hoodies, uniforms, jackets, bags, and other approved items, but customer-supplied products require additional care, testing, preparation, and production oversight.

Because we do not control where your garment came from, how it was manufactured, what treatments were applied, or how it was previously washed and stored, printing on personal garments involves more uncertainty than printing on apparel purchased directly through us.

For the most predictable results, we strongly recommend purchasing your garments through Customistic whenever possible. We know our products, understand how they react to different printing methods, and can usually replace them if an unexpected production issue occurs.

Why Printing on Customer-Supplied Garments Costs More

Bringing your own garment may appear to reduce the cost of an order, but it creates additional work and responsibility during production. Our team must take extra precautions because the garment’s materials, dyes, coatings, construction, and history are unknown.

A Bring Your Own Garment service fee helps cover the extra testing, handling, setup, quality control, and production time required to provide the best possible result.

Fabric and Material Uncertainty

Even garments that look similar can react very differently once they are exposed to ink, pressure, and heat. Without information from the original manufacturer, we cannot confirm exactly how a customer-supplied item will perform.

  • We may not know how the fabric was manufactured or treated.
  • We cannot verify all dyes, coatings, finishes, or chemical treatments.
  • We do not know how the garment was previously washed, dried, or processed.
  • Materials can react differently to heat, ink, adhesive, and pressure.
  • Ink absorption and print adhesion can vary between fabrics.
  • Additional test presses or sample prints may be necessary.

Production Care and Preparation

Customer-supplied items require more hands-on attention throughout the printing process. Our production team may need to adjust equipment, temperatures, pressure settings, artwork placement, or decoration methods for each individual garment.

  • Additional setup and production testing may be required.
  • More preparation and handling time is involved.
  • Production may move more slowly to protect your garments.
  • Each item may require additional quality checks.
  • More manual oversight may be needed during printing and pressing.
  • Some garments may be unsuitable for the requested decoration method.

Quality Outcome Risks

Our team will use professional equipment and proven production methods, but we cannot guarantee that every customer-supplied garment will react perfectly during customization.

  • Some fabrics may discolor, shrink, scorch, or become distorted.
  • Garment dyes can shift or migrate during heat pressing.
  • Print colors may appear different than expected on certain materials.
  • Some fabrics are unusually sensitive to heat and pressure.
  • Adhesion may be inconsistent on coated or treated surfaces.
  • Print placement can vary when garments have unusual seams, pockets, or construction.

Business and Liability Considerations

When you purchase apparel through Customistic, the garment price includes the product itself and helps account for the occasional replacement needed when something unexpected happens during production. Customer-supplied garments do not include that protection.

  • We cannot replace customer-supplied garments.
  • We cannot verify the value, rarity, or personal importance of an item.
  • Production issues may occur because of conditions outside our control.
  • Unknown dyes can migrate and damage printing equipment.
  • Improperly manufactured items may jam or damage machinery.
  • Additional machine cleaning or downtime may be required.

Important Information Before Bringing Us Your Garments

  • All garments must be reviewed and approved before production. Certain fabrics, coatings, shapes, seams, or construction styles may not be suitable for printing.
  • Garments should be new or freshly cleaned. Dirt, oils, fabric softeners, pet hair, deodorant, and other residues may interfere with ink or adhesive.
  • Do not bring irreplaceable or highly sentimental items. Even with careful handling, unexpected production issues can occur.
  • Provide extra garments whenever possible. Having additional pieces available can help protect your order quantity if an item is defective or unsuitable.
  • Customer-supplied garments may require additional production time. Testing, preparation, and specialized handling can extend the normal turnaround period.
  • Garment compatibility cannot be confirmed from appearance alone. Two visually similar shirts may react differently because of their dyes, coatings, or fabric composition.
  • Decoration results may differ from shop-supplied garments. Color, texture, placement, adhesion, and overall appearance can be affected by the garment itself.

Your BYO Garment Waiver and Agreement

Before Customistic can begin production, customers supplying their own garments must review and accept our Bring Your Own Garment Waiver and Agreement.

The waiver confirms that you understand the additional risks involved and acknowledge that Customistic cannot be responsible for replacing, reimbursing, or compensating you for customer-supplied garments that are damaged, misprinted, discolored, scorched, shrunk, or otherwise affected during the customization process.

The waiver applies to unexpected issues involving garment materials, dyes, coatings, equipment, production methods, and human error. While mistakes are uncommon, accepting these terms allows our team to provide this specialized service while dedicating the proper time and care to your items.
